With over 525 acres of land, it's one of the largest urban parks in Canada, offering a wide variety of year-round recreational activities for visitors of all ages.
The park is especially popular for its picnic areas, hiking trails and soccer facilities, which include a stadium. It also provides baseball diamonds, basketball courts as well as indoor facilities for track and field and ice skating. Nature lovers also frequent the park, enjoying bird watching, stopping by the turtle pond and visiting the Conservatory, an indoor botanical garden of domestic and tropical plants and flowers.
